Professional flowers, medicinal and ornamental plants’ cultivation for sale is gaining momentum in Ukraine. This crops’ cultivation is profitable, but complex and costly.

The technology of crops’ cultivation involves the use of special agronomic methods and professional knowledge.

In recent years, the phytosanitary situation has become threatening because of enterprises various forms of ownership activity. This situation is so partly due to the use of chemical plant protection products which displaced biological methods, and led to negative consequences – the destruction of soil microbiota, the formation of resistant pest populations, deterioration of medicinal raw materials quality.

The ornamental plants and flowers cultivation requires special attention to the biological soil composition. The excessive soil salinity and acidity is contraindicated for cultivation of the most annuals and perennials. Acidic soils suspended the development of nitrogen-fixing bacteria and lead to poor development of the plant root system and as a result reduce yields. And in salinized soil, the absorption of moisture by the plant is significantly deteriorating, which causes stress and slows down its development.
